Most sessions are held in the Crown Services Secretariat offices at 1130 - 444 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Whole board sessions may be held in our training facility or at a location of your choice within Manitoba. The location of the specific session you have registered for will be included in your email confirmation.
There are a number of public parking options available. The Bay Parkade is attached to our building via skywalk, and the Kennedy Street Parkade (between St. Mary Avenue and York Avenue) is also attached to our building.
Government funds the core costs of the program, while the $25.00 registration fee covers the incremental cost of each session.
Upon request, Council will provide you with a certificate confirming that you have successfully completed a workshop. Participants may be able to use these for professional development credits.
All Manitoba public sector Agencies, Boards, Commissions (ABCs) and Crown corporations (at least one or more board members appointed by the Government of Manitoba) are eligible to participate in the Board Performance Training program. All members of these boards are welcome to participate.
Council has also made provisions in the training schedule for a limited number of whole board sessions. If you are interested in having a Board Performance Training session delivered to your entire board and executive management team, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We offer relevant content in core areas related to public sector governance. In addition, previous participants report that engaging and sharing experiences with peers through these workshops is valuable. Workshop content overviews are also provided within each workshop description.
